Mini Lop Rabbits

Our mountain homestead, located outside of both Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico, is the perfect spot to keep rabbits, as rabbits really flourish in cool and cold weather. Currently, we raise pedigreed, show quality, Mini Lops. Most of our rabbits are homed with 4-H kids and adults who show (like me, Erin), but many end up in homes as pets as well.

Why Do We Like The Mini Lop Breed?

The Mini Lop is a small breed, although not quite a dwarf, coming in at a max weight of 6.5lbs. Despite this, Mini Lop rabbits are quite stocky and robust. Mini Lops, as their name suggests, have lop ears, and they hang over the side of their face giving them quite the baby face appearance- which goes perfectly with their sweet, laid back personality.

Please keep in mind, the Holland Lop is considerably smaller than the Mini Lop so make sure and do your reseach if you are looking for a true dwarf size lop.

Our Mini Lops

We currently have 20 does (girls) and 10 bucks (boys) in our breeding barn and many more juveniles and kits (babies). Our rabbits get attention and are loved on daily. They are adapted to cats, dogs, loud noises, and exposed to kiddos. We only keep VERY friendly genetic lines— no biting or aggression allowed. We travel with our rabits to shows in NM, Co, AZ, and Tx. We are headed to Mini Lop Nationals in April 2024 for the first time!

How to get a Mini Lop Rabbit from us:

We have litters pretty constantly throughout the year. Feel free to contact us about getting on our waitlist or ask about available rabbits. We start to pickout our own holdbacks at 6wks of age on our baby rabbits and will know if some are avaiable at that time to be placed on hold for a new home. Our babies go home at 8wks of age, no exceptions.

While we cannot guarantee quality, as mini lops age, especially closer to 12 weeks, we can pick out show quality a little better.
